Reunion in 2011!

The GPHS Class of 1996 is reuniting on Memorial Weekend 2011.  Catch up and reconnect with old friends!

Saturday, May 28, 2011 ~ 6:00pm ~ Fireside Grill~ 1095 SE Bishop Blvd, Pullman WA.

Need accommodations?  The Holiday Inn is just down the street from the restaurant.

Head to Palouse on Sunday for coffee and brunch at The Green Frog Café. Haven’t been back in a while? You might find yourself a pleasantly            surprised by the changes.  Bring the kids with you on Sunday and we can      venture down to the park.

An e-vite will be sent out about a month before the reunion. If you haven’t been getting messages from me  I need your e-mail address. Send me a message: safernandez05@yahoo.com. Join our Facebook group: “GPHS Class of 1996” and start reconnecting before the reunion!

See you then!

Facebook…anyone?

Are you addicted to the social media site Facebook? If not, you should check it out (and get addicted). A handful of our classmates are on Facebook. There is even a GPHS Class of 1996 group waiting for you to join. Ok, so I created the group in hopes that people will join….we’ll see what happens. Who can you reconnect with? Get on Facebook and check it out…I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. http://www.facebook.com

Where’s your page?

Do you have a personal website or blog that you want to link to this site? Let me know and I’ll get it added!

What’s your favorite reunion-themed flick?

While the list (that I could come up with) isn’t incredibly long there are some definite classics in the reunion movie category. There’s Peggy Sue Got Married, National Lampoon’s Class Reunion — sort of a cult classic spoof on the slasher film, Romie & Michele’s High School Reunion (what did you invent?) and last but not least, my favorite: Grosse Point Blanke. I’m fond of the sarcastic dark humor, witty dialogue and fantastic soundtrack. How about you?

Welcome Class of ’96!

Hopefully the past twelve years have been good for you and 2008 finds you happy, healthy and prosperous! Our class scattered after graduation and while most of us no longer reside in Garfield or Palouse it has been nice to keep in touch with friends and share experiences.  This page will hopefully allow others to catch up and renew friendships.

Also, this was a great way to test the reunion waters and learn what everyone thinks about the possibility of a 15 or 20 year reunion. Because of the challenges of time and distance I thought it was a good idea to start throwing those ideas out now. What are you doing the summers of 2011 or 2016? Do we break from convention and have a 13 year reunion? Let me know what you think. Also, be sure to check out the “Where are you now?” page and post a little blurp about yourself. If you have a personal or family blog you would like to link to this blog let me know.
